The theme of this year's meeting was "Global Campaign." Steve Sinnott referred to education as "the great liberator". The Steve Sinnott Foundation supports the millenium goal of all children in primary education by 2015.
Speakers at the meeting were the first students to win "campaigner of the year" award: Bethany Law and James Simmonds. They ably described their visit to Tanzania, where they witnessed the importance of education to Tanzanian families and the barriers which prevent full attendance, both cultural and financial.
